Fans of Barry Manilow have reason to celebrate. The legendary performer is officially back on his feet and ready to return to the stage, announcing six more concerts for next year. In an uplifting update shared on Tuesday, Jan. 13, the singer confirmed that Barry Manilow reveals six additional 2026 tour dates following surgery for lung cancer, marking a major milestone in his recovery.
Feeling Strong and Ready to Perform
The announcement was made via Manilow’s social media, where a message reassured fans that his recent surgery was successful. According to the post, the Grammy-winning artist is “feeling great” after the procedure, prompting him to expand his already scheduled March run with six new arena shows. A separate press release echoed the optimism, noting that his medical team is pleased with his progress.
Where the New Shows Will Take Place
The newly added concerts are set for early March and will stop in Charlotte, North Carolina; Norfolk, Virginia; Baltimore, Maryland; Cincinnati, Ohio; Nashville, Tennessee; and Lexington, Kentucky. These performances are being billed as his final appearances in those cities, making them especially meaningful for longtime fans. Adding to the excitement, the release also teased that new music from Manilow is expected later this year.
Returning to the Stage After Postponements
Back in December, Manilow shared that he had been diagnosed with stage one lung cancer, which led him to postpone all of his January performances. His comeback show is now scheduled for Feb. 27 at Tampa’s Benchmark International Arena. From there, he will continue touring through April, with the final date set for April 29 at Gas South Arena in Duluth, Georgia.
A Positive Outlook Moving Forward
When he first opened up about his diagnosis, Manilow explained that the cancer was discovered during precautionary scans while he was recovering from bronchitis. Doctors determined the cancer had not spread, and he emphasized that no chemotherapy or radiation would be required. Maintaining his trademark humor, he told fans his recovery plan involved “just chicken soup and I Love Lucy reruns.”
